Surprised by this book. Surprised by the issues of big govenment and politics even in the 1800's that evolve against the individual's opportuinty in America. His plea that Big Gov. and Boston politics knows best is not truth was learned in a lifetime working the Railroad business of New England... Perhaps not intentional but the author shares his observation of a young Scotish immigrant who travels the worl landing in Boston " could have landed on the moon" and his plea to President Teddy Roosevelt during a meeting with him to "Let Industry be Free" ... James O Fagan was my Great Grand Father...
